Plant Description

Phlox carolina is native to all the southeastern states, Missouri, and Arkansas in deciduous woods, savannahs, and clearings. Brilliant pink, dome-shaped flower clusters on 18” stems appear in early to mid summer. It is would be beautiful in a partly shaded garden with good soil where it will form slowly expanding clumps. Attractive combinations could include bluestar, Carolina bushpea, and blue-eyed grass.
