- Enjoy this unique, purple flower from early to mid summer.
- Allium ‘Millenium’ is easy to grow.
‘Millenium’ is a stunning ornamental, flowering onion, and it has been awarded the 2018 Perennial Plant of the Year. It is a profuse and long-blooming, mid-summer flowering selection with two-inch rosy-purple, globe-shaped flower heads that are held on two-foot stalks over clumps of wide, flat, grass-like foliage. It makes neat and compact clumps that look great in the front of the sunny perennial garden. Pollinators love purple allium but deer and rabbits will avoid it like the plague. A must have for the summer garden. Combine purple allium with Russian sage, bee balm, Becky shasta daisy, coneflowers, yarrow, stokesia, or coreopsis.
