Plant Description

Coreopsis ‘Daybreak’ is a new offering from the Li’l Bang series of coreopsis, a series developed from eastern native species by master breeder Darrell Probst, for their compact growth habit, great disease resistance, and long bloom period. ‘Daybreak’ has single, brilliant, orange-red daisy-like flowers with a vibrant golden yellow edge. Flowers are produced in masses from early summer into fall on compact 6 to 12” tall plants. They are perfect for containers or the front of the garden where it is sunny and the soil is well drained. Imagine this one with butterfly weed, ‘PowWow White’ or ‘Cheyenne Spirit’ coneflowers, and catmint.
