Plant Description

Friendship sage makes a lot of color! Fifteen inches of every stem is covered with masses of 2” long, rich royal purple and black flowers. They are literally draped in bold color from early summer until frost, and this is why Amistad received the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Merit. It is big, bushy, and upright growing, and is irresistible to hummingbirds and butterflies. Give it full sun and average soil. Deadhead periodically to promote vigorous flowering. Could be stunning in a large container. Not reliably hardy north of zone 8.

New this year.
