Plant Description

Stonecrop is another good choice for the shady rock or well-drained woodland garden. It forms mats of evergreen, succulent, small, blue-green leaves 2 to 3 inches tall with 6-inch tall, flat, sprays of starry white flowers in early summer. It would be beautiful growing naturally from pockets of rich, moist soil on calcareous rocks where the creeping stems can dangle and spread. Blue Star, Foamflower, and Columbine are good companions.
