Plant Description

Ruby Star is a shorter purple coneflower selection that has very large flower heads with deep intense, rose/red petals that are held horizontally outwards. It is unique in that it has the most intense coloration of all purple coneflowers, and the petals spread outwards rather than up or down. Ruby Star is easy to grow, makes a great cut flower, is very heat and drought tolerant, and will attract butterflies and small birds.
