$ 11.95

Item #: 1332
Pot Size: full quart

Plant Description

This Turtlehead is native to the coastal plain and mountains of the Southeast where it is infrequent along stream banks and swampy forest margins. It differs from Chelone lyonii primarily in having narrow leaves and darker pink flowers. From late summer into fall, its very showy deep pink/purple, snapdragon-like flowers shine like beacons in sunny areas. Great companions could include Wild Ageratum, Ironweed, Culvers Root, and Cardinal Flower.
