Plant Description

Native to the western Himalayas, Sarcococca is a great little evergreen, slowly spreading shrub for rich organic soil and shade. The shrub has shiny, pointed, 3" long leaves that are medium to dark green and look good all year long. A ground cover of Sarcococca looks neat and uniform. But in late winter and early spring, many small white flowers produce the sweetest fragrance, that pretty much require you to plant this near a shady entrance to your house. And these are then followed by attractive purple-black berries. We can't really say enough good things about Sarcococca.
