Plant Description

Discovered by plantswoman, Karen Partlow in Mississippi, 'Minnie Pearl' is thought to be a naturally occurring hybrid between Phlox maculata and Phlox glaberrima. Its flowering time, stature, and habit are all intermediate between its parents, just like a good hybrid. 'Minnie Pearl' flowers in early summer. Its pure white, big flower heads are on 18" stalks. They are fragrant and loved by butterflies. Plants spread moderately and are very mildew resistant. Good companions would be Blue-eyed Grass, Stokes Aster, and Indian Pink.
