Plant Description
Danae is a wonderful, medium height, spreading, evergreen shrub for shady places with good organic soil. Its arching stems reach 2-3', and in the fall, have showy, orange-red berries. The deep green, shiny, waxy leaves are evergreen. Danae is a nearly perfect plant for shade and good soil although once established, it will do well in dry shade also. This is a slow growing spreader whose only negative is that it is not more widely available.
