Chinese Dunce Cap

$ 8.95

Item #: 1601
Pot Size: 3.5" pot

Plant Description

Chinese dunce cap is an interesting little succulent from Japan with rosettes of very pale gray leaves. Plants look like miniature hens and chicks. Young plants quickly produce offsets on thin spaghetti stems effectively spreading individuals out over a foot or so. In late summer and fall, 2 to 4” flowering stems poke up from rosettes forming cone shapes that look like dunce caps. Very interesting. The flowers are pale yellow and not showy. Give this little succulent full sun and dry, very well drained soil. Ours are happy in tufa troughs with birds foot violets, cliff stonecrop, and fameflower.
