Foamy Bells, Thunderbird

$ 14.95

Item #: 1640
Pot Size: full quart

Plant Description

This heat tolerant cross between Heuchera villosa (alumroot) and Tiarella (foamflower) is a robust clump former for part shade and good soil. In spring, the maple leaf shaped leaves are brilliant yellow-gold with brick red venation. These transform to soft green with deep purple venation in the summer and fall. Small white flowers typical of foamflower appear in late spring and early summer. ‘Thunderbird’ provides a lot of color all year long. Site it with morning sun to really bring out the gold coloring.
