Hydrangea anomala ssp. petiolaris var. tiliifolia

Hydrangea, Littleleaf Climbing

$ 14.95

Item #: 1664
Pot Size: full quart

Plant Description

This rare climbing hydrangea is native to Korea. It has 1”, rounded, crinkled, dark green, shiny leaves and 4”, flat heads of white, lace-cap flowers in early summer. Attractive and ornamental bark is revealed in the winter when its leaves have fallen off. Like its more commonly grown cousin, climbing hydrangea, this one climbs by means of hold-fasts and will stick to bark, stone, or mortar as it finds its way upwards. Give it part shade and good soil. It may be a bit slow to get started but don’t let its diminutive nature and fine texture fool you. In time, it is a lovely and effective cover for a wall or even a unique ground cover.
