Item #:
Pot Size: 5 inch pot

Plant Description

Sweet wakerobin has mid-to-late spring flowers that are rich maroon-red, stalked, nodding, and with wide, reflexed petals. With its dangling white anthers, it is very showy. It is found only in the southern Appalachian Mountains in rich, woodland soil where it can be 2’ tall with thick stems and large 8” leaves. In the garden, it will likely be quite a bit smaller but still very striking. Give it good, organic soil and pair it up with phlox, foamflower, poppies, and ferns. It will go dormant by late summer. All our trilliums are nursery propagated from seed and are at least 8 years old. Dormant shipping only.
