Pot Size: full quart

Plant Description

Introduced in 2012 by breeder, Darrell Probst, as another in his great Big Bang Series, ‘Mercury Rising’ is a definite must have! From early summer into fall, this compact Coreopsis rosea hybrid is covered with velvety wine red blossoms with gold centers that butterflies and honeybees absolutely love. The 15” tall clumps quickly grow to form wide-spreading, well-branched clumps of bright green, narrow leaves with very good disease resistance. An occasional dead-heading will keep those flowers coming on strong. With a preference for full sun and average to dry soil, your planting companions are numerous! New this year.
