Baptisia x Butterball

Cream False Indigo

$ 14.95

Item #: 1803
Pot Size: 4"x4"x5.5" pot

Plant Description

Pendulous stems of big, soft, buttery yellow flowers in mid/late spring grace this 15” tall, 1-2’ wide clumper. Like all of our wild indigos, Butterball loves full sun and average to dry soil where it grows deep roots capable of withstanding prolonged droughts. When in flower, the somewhat fuzzy branches cascade under the weight of the lovely flowers that bumble bees love. Butterball is a knock out in any dry, sunny place. Although somewhat slow growing, once established, it will be very long lived and maintenance free.  New this year!
